Well Lord Stanley, what a surprise.
I walked into this place lunch time Saturday for the first time.
Unlike almost every other pub in and around Brisbane that I have visited and that's plenty! I was blown away by the service.
As I walked through the venue to the main bar, I was greeted by every single staff member, including the Chef in the kitchen.
Don't let the outside fool you. The Lord Stanley is absolutely beautiful inside.
There is plenty of room and a great outdoor area to the rear of the building.
Good selection of tap beer, daily specials, and chef specials. Also, there is a wide variety of good options on the menu, which are well priced.
To my surprise, this place wasn't very busy, so get down to the Lord Stanley and get behind your local.

We have been regulars for ages having lived in E Bris for 40 plus years. Food has been variable in quality over the years but boy how good is it now. Absolutely first class. The steaks are succulent and the Bangers and Mash exceeds expectations. Plus the complimentary chicken wing demonstrates a desire to win over customers. Staff are to be commended for their friendliness and helpfulness. Keep up the good work. So pleased to have a pub with such high standards so close to home.
Staff very attentive meals well presented and cooked as requested no trouble when one of our members asked for variation due to her medical condition, sat outside which was good for a noise free catch up we could actually hear what the other person was saying. All in all a very pleasant day had by all. Thank you
Staff are lovely, drink choices are great (yummy cocktails), and their kids' menu has better options than most with a fun activity pack to keep them entertained.
Monday night is the steak special, and it reminds me how good pub counter meals used to be. The complimentary wings are freaking delicious.
Small crowd but I must admit that the bar server when far and beyond my expectations. She definitely has a old style education regarding hospitality. I was with a gentleman who has a disability and the kindness treated towards him was heart warming and showed me first class people in hospitality still a live in Brisbane thank you lord Stanley hotel
Quaint pub in the suburbs (bigger on the inside) with the best steak and veg I have had in a long time. Staff were friendly and more than happy to customise my meal for no extra charge.
So good I don't want the world to know about it but ok at $25 on Sunday and Monday for a beautiful 400g porterhouse steak it's unbeatable but please please don't spoil the place with that terrible ear smashing boom boom boom non music
Honestly the great quality food along with fantastic service, plus each meal comes with a complimentary chicken wing, makes this the best pub around !
